Artist Bio/Statement: Born and educated in Zagreb, Croatia. B.A. in English at the University of Zagreb 1987. Member of the British Origami Society since 2007. In 2008 curated the first origami art exhibition in Croatia with international origami masters, Poetry in Paper. Designing and diagramming own origami models. Promoting paperfolding in Croatia and writing a blog Origami Art Novosti (Origami Art News).

My infatuation with origami started in 2005, having seen modern origami art on the web and later in Salzburg, Masters of Origami.  Struck with the greatness of modern origami art, I talked about it at every occasion,  showing the folds I knew, talking about the artists and ideas inspiring me. The beginning of an interest, sparks of curiosity in others, a glimpse of a smile… all encouraged me to try harder. Even non-believers in origami. For them I widened my horizons in origami over my initial interest, flowers. After Poetry in Paper exhibition in Krapina 2008, my origami road became clearer. Ever since I have been trying to score high points for origami in art, science and education, and to gather origami enthusiasts from various walks of life.
